Doodlebug Baby Cards

I shifted gears today and it is all about babies now! Here are two cute cards I made using last spring's lines for baby boy and baby girl. I am glad I had the forsight to buy these lines since now I am pregnant and I still have friends who are having babies so I can make cards for them too! I used Doodletwine, Cute Cuts, Bon Bon teensy letter stickers, and paper all from Doodlebug, of course!

Zombie Girl!

I am completely ok with admitting that I have an obsession with zombies. My dream job would be working on the set of "The Walking Dead" or even better, getting to be a zombie extra!!!! I finally developed my pictures from Halloween this year. I dressed myself up as a scientist zombie girl. This was my second attempt at zombie makeup- last year I made my husband a zombie. Not too shabby for an amateur, I think!

I used last year's line of Halloween paper from Doodlebug called Monster Mania.
I used Fancy Frills, Doodlpops, Cute Cuts, and stickers on this layout.

The title is letter stickers from Doodlebug called Hopscotch.

The monsters are so cute! I really liked this line from Doodlebug.

Here is my other side: pregnant mother-to-be!
Just less then 3 months to go!!!

More Love!

I think I am done making Valentine cards now! I used my favorite products- all Doodlebug of course! I stamped the sentiment which always seems to be risky business for me. I am not a big fan of stamping, although it can be a quick way to get a sentiment on a card. I think I would like it more if it was a guarenteed success everytime. Oh well, I just made this card for fun!

I got the idea for this simple card from the Doodlebug blog. It is not exactly the same but similar. I used a Bazzill rub-on sentiment and lots of washi tape.

I have 3 more months in this pregnancy so I really should start thinking about a baby album of some sort! I can't wait for the new products from CHA so I can get inspired for spring and summer!
Hopefully I can find some inspiration today.....

Cat Layout

Wow, Blogger is working again! I can actually download my pictures normally! I did something a little different today. I made a cat layout with paper that I have had in my stash for a long time. It is so hard to find cat paper and embellishments that appeal to me. I think the only cat line I have really loved is the Doodlebug line that came out many years ago. This line is from glimpses by signifypink. The paper is pretty bold and it was a little bit of a challenge to put something together. This is what I came up with.

I matted the red paper on black cardstock, as well as the photo, to bring in the focus on the picture. I added a sticker to the picture which describes the meaning in this photo perfectly. My cat Taz likes to crawl under the covers, especially when we are making the bed. He is so stinking cute!!!!

Doodlebug Card and a Snow Banner

I did manage to squeek out some more time to create yesturday. I made this cute little card with Washi tape and Doodlebug stickers. I pop-dotted the letter in the bird's mouth to add some dimension, as well as the scalloped square sticker.

I also made a banner for this very snowy winter we are having. It has snowed pretty much everyday for quite awhile now, or maybe it just feels that way! I used the Winter Twig Collection from Little Yellow Bicycle. I used my Cricut and the Cartridge Cheerful Seasons to cut the letters. The ribbon was from Heidi Swapp- something I have had in my stash forever! I used a Martha Stewart snowflake punch and a scallop circle punch from Fiskars for the two ends.

It is very cold outside again so it will be another day of scrappin'! Stay Warm!

Doodlebug Valentine Card

I just love Doodlebug products! I really like the Doodlepops and mini-Doodlepops- they are just so cute! This bird is a Doodlepop and he is super cute. The sentiment is a rub-on from Pebbles Inc. but other than that, all products are Doodlebug, even the Valentine twine from last year. Hopefully I will have some more time today to create- I am in withdrawl from last weekend's marathon of cards!

Doodlebug Fun and a Winter Layout

I had a fun day of creating! I started to make a layout with this collection from Little Yellow Bicycle last year and never finished so I pulled it out and finally put something together. I adore this line called Winter Twig. It was so cute with all the different blues and snowflakes. I bought a ton of paper from this collection and now I need to find ways to use it up!

Everything is from the Winter Twig line and I used the doily punch by Martha Stewart for the top and bottom border. The felt snowflakes are from Little Yellow Bicycle but from an old winter line.

I was also inspired to make some mini-cards for Valentine's Day. The Cute Cuts from Doodlebug are perfect to do this as they make putting together a card so easy!

Just add some stickers, pearls, and a sentiment and here is a cute card!

I added some stickles to the flower and the sentiment is a rub-on from Kaiser Kraft. I will admit that I love rub-ons and I am sad that they are losing popularity. They are handy to use on cards and layouts so you do not have to print on your computer all the time.

I had these x's and o's left over from a Doodlebug Headline and thought this was a cute way to use them. I added an "I love you" sentiment inside the card.

These red letter stickers are from an old Doodlebug line. All the papers for these mini-cards were Doodlebug, either Sweet Cakes or Sweet Love, as were the embellisments.
Here is my scrapping cat Tao with my cards- she just has to be with me when I am creating!

Hello Fall!

It is definitely NOT fall around here- this is my husband digging us out post blizzard! It actually did not turn out to be as bad as they had predicted but we still got a fair amount of snow and lots of wind. Now it is really cold as well! Oh January.....

I was lucky enough to have a snow day yesturday and I got to create all day long! I made this fall layout which was actually of my 2 nieces but I switched the picture for the blog to my husband and I posing in the leaves. I am 3 months pregnant in this picture and showing quit a bit! I used a mixture of fall themed Imaginisce papers and Bella Blvd. stickers from Finally Fall for this layout. I also used a circle punch and a scallop punch by Fiskars.

Valentine's cards

I just love snow days! We are under a blizzard warning and it is the perfect day to be cozy with a cup of tea and a room full of scrappy fun!

I guess I am in a love kind of mood since I made 2 Valentine cards today. I used my all-time fav. company- Doodlebug- to make these two cards. The rub-on sentiment above is from Bazzill and the sticker below is from Paper Co. All the paper and the stickers is from last year's Valentine line from Doodlebug: Sweet Cakes.

Christmas Layout With Bella Blvd.

Well another day of Blogger not working! I am uploading my pictures in HTML which seems to be working but is not as convienent as the other way. Technology is great, when it works, and when it doesn't- it makes me so mad!!!

Here is my layout using last year's Christmas Wishes by Bella Blvd. I was a little sad they did not put out a Christmas line this year since this one was so cute and I am a big fan of Bella products. Check out their website for sneak peaks this week of their new product to come in Feb.- very excited!

I loved the idea for taking a picture in a Christmas ball which I saw in a post on the Bella Website. I took pictures of my cats and I, as well as with my husband.

I used Bella tape and cut it thinner to make these strips. The red dotted paper was actually from Family Dynamix but it matched this line and I wanted a more subtle red pattern than the hearts of stripes that came with the line.

The green circle is where I will journal but I always hesitate to write because I am not a fan of what it looks like on a page. I put this present sticker on a scalloped punched circle and added a flag and a smaller circle sticker.

Snowflakes From Heaven

What a wacky Blog! Something is wrong with the upload function and I finally figured out a temporary fix but it is a little wonky! I used We R Memory Keepers for this layout, which I just LOVE! The line is called Winter Frost and it comes with the softest palette of blue, green, grey, and creme/white. I used a Martha Stewart snowflake punch and a Fiskars snowflake punch for the top and bottom snowflakes. I also used a Memory Box die called Frosty Border which I am absolutley in love with! I used an EK Success punch to make the chevron strip down the side. I handmade my tag and knotted mushroom/grey ribbon to it. The title is Thickers cloth letters in white. I hope this crazy blog works tomorrow!

GRRRRRR.....computers!

I am not a techno wizard by any means and I get so annoyed when computers do not work when I want them to!!!! I have been trying to post my layout pictures for 2 days now and for some reason the blog will not upload photos from my computer. So until this crazy thing starts working again.......craft, craft, and craft some more!!!
